All Shockwave Therapies are not created equal

There are 2 main categories of shock wave therapy:

Radial Pulse Therapy (RSWT)

They do not produce a true “shock wave” as defined by physics. The type of energy that it creates is a sound wave and works on a different principle from shockwave therapy.  They are also comparatively limited to what they can treat.

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT)

1. Focused ESWT: This type relies on microtrauma to the tissue, has a very small treatment area and requires many applications over weeks/months at time.

2. Unfocused ESWT (SoftWave Therapy).

TRT SOFTWAVE owns the patents for unfocused ESWT in North America. It is created by a combination of light, heat, and an electrohydraulically produced sound that combines to create a true “shockwave.”

It causes no microtrauma or damage to any tissue despite this shockwave energy in water traveling 5 times faster (3355mph) than in air (767 mph).

The treatment zone is thousands times larger than focused or planar devices.

Scientifically validated to elicit a strong anti-inflammatory effect and to recruit/activate endogenous stem cells, to vascularize tissue, promote healing, and to kill off pathogens.

The Best Kept Secret in Professional Sports:

Top Sports Medicine Clinicians across the country have been quietly using SoftWave for years on injured star athletes, seeing unprecedented acceleration of recovery times, SoftWave is now becoming more widely understood to be the profound advantage that makes a tangible difference to who plays on the field and who stays in rehab.
